At San Leandro Orthodontics, we take pride in knowing that Dr. Huang  will be here for you every day of the week Monday-Friday and some Saturdays. Dr. Huang takes full responsibility for every single case that is treated in our office, and you can expect his personal attention at every appointment!

 

Board Certified Orthodontist

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from dental school, Dr. Huang completed four additional years of specialty training in Orthodontics at Harvard University. He received the Cadman Award of Clinical Excellence from the Harvard Orthodontics program. In our office, we focus specifically on orthodontics so that we can provide the highest quality care. A personalized treatment plan is created for each individual.

 

Comprehensive Knowledge of Biology of Tooth Movement

Dr. Huang earned his Doctorate of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology with concentration in Mineralized Tissues in an Orthopedic Research lab at the Boston Children’s Hospital. His post-doctorate research at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center San Francisco studied bone biology and molecular cell interactions of bone forming-bone resorbing cells. Dr. Huang’s fundamental understanding of how teeth move allows him to develop the ideal and most efficient treatment to get you the best smile possible in the shortest period of time.

 

Complimentary Initial Consultations

Taking the first step in understanding how to improve your bite is a very important one. At San Leandro Orthodontics, we offer a comfortable, no-pressure, obligation-free consultation appointment where Dr. Huang can discuss with you what the current issues are affecting your bite. Photographs of your case taken on the day of the consultation will allow you to easily see exactly what Dr. Huang sees and what needs to be fixed. At the end of this appointment, a customized orthodontic treatment will be provided to you.

 

Advanced CBCT 3-D X-Ray Imaging Technology

Dr. Huang is a pioneer in the use of 3-D imaging technology in the specialty of orthodontics. He has published extensive research papers and lectured internationally on the topic of CBCT imaging. These new x-ray machines operate at comparable radiation dosages similar to existing x-ray machines today but capture significantly more information without any distortion. CBCT data is especially useful in children with mixed dentition (both baby and adult teeth) as well as adults who need dental implants. Extra teeth (supernumerary teeth) that cannot be seen on conventional x-rays are easily visualized with the 3-D volumetric images.

 

Meticulous Sterilization

Safety and cleanness is a top priority in San Leandro Orthodontics. We apply all of the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) guidelines to our daily routines and sterilization techniques. All instruments are sealed and opened chairside when you are present.

 We know how confusing insurance reimbursements can be, so we will process all the insurance billing and claims for you. At the consultation appointment, we will provide a complimentary benefits check and help you maximize your insurance coverage.
